What we read

When a business connects its Instagram professional account, we read: the account's basic profile (user ID, username, name, profile picture, account type); direct messages sent to that account; comments left on that account's posts, with the post link; and the public username and name of the person who wrote them.

When a business connects a Facebook Page, we read: the Page's ID, name and picture; Messenger messages sent to that Page; comments left on the Page's posts, with the post link; and the public name of the person who wrote them.

Why we read it

Only to score each conversation as hot, warm or cold and to draft a suggested reply that the business owner can copy. We also note when the owner has replied, to show response time.

What we never do

We never post, like or follow on anyone's behalf, and we never send anything on our own. A message is only sent when the business owner taps send: either by hand in Instagram, Facebook or Messenger, or with the Send private reply button, which sends one private message to the person who commented.

Storage and retention

Data is stored in an encrypted database used only by PingMyLead. Access tokens are kept on the server and never shown in the browser. Conversations are kept while the business uses PingMyLead and deleted within 30 days after the business closes its account or disconnects and asks for deletion.

Sharing

We do not sell data. Message text is processed by our AI provider only to produce the score and the draft reply. Alerts go only to the business owner's own email or WhatsApp.

Deletion

You can ask for deletion at any time. See the data deletion page, or remove PingMyLead from Instagram (Settings → Apps and websites) or from Facebook (Settings → Business integrations). Meta then sends us a deletion request, which we complete automatically.
